  • Troutman police report an intruder shot at a residence known to be DaBaby's
  • Intruder suffered 'non-life threatening gunshot wound to the lower extremity
  • Not confirmed if it was international rap star DaBaby who pulled the trigger
  • Police called it an 'isolated incident' with 'no threat to the community at large'
  • Local services called to DaBaby's $2.3m property many times since he moved in
  • The property is a five bed mansion in an enclosed compound with a football field

An intruder has been shot at rapper DaBaby's $2.3m mansion in Troutman, North Carolina.

The shooting took place at 7:45pm on Wednesday leaving an individual suffering from non-fatal gunshot injuries, the Troutman Police Department confirmed.

Officers arrived on the scene where they found one subject 'suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound' near the rapper's football field, a spokesperson said.

The harmed individual was then transported by Iredell County EMS to a medical facility for treatment.

Despite cops reportedly being called 31 times to the house in the past year, police claimed that it was 'an isolated incident' and that 'there is no threat to the community at large.'

Iredell County's Firewire360 Facebook page gave more details, stating that the 911 call had been 'very tense'.

It is unconfirmed who pulled the trigger as DaBaby was not named in the report, but he has been charged with firearm offences in the past

'A call came into Iredell County 911 reporting that a subject had been shot on the property of rapper Jonathan 'DaBaby' Kirk,' they stated.

'The shooting reportedly occurred near the football field on the property. Initial reports indicate that the subject who was shot had trespassed onto the property.'

They add that the intruder was treated with a 'wound to the lower extremity'.

The 911 responder instructed the caller to 'secure his weapon' before police arrived but the caller refused, stating that there 'could be more intruders' on the enclosed property.

It is unconfirmed who pulled the trigger as DaBaby was not named in the report, but he is known to live at the 5-bed, $2.3 million compound, spread out over 9 acres with a pool and stadium floodlights.

The rapper, 28, is no stranger to controversy, with an extensive rap sheet and reports that Iredell County services have been called to DaBaby's address 31 times within a year after he is thought to have moved in in December 2019.

There have also been reports of neighbors phoning in complaints about construction at DaBaby's estate, including concerns about new guard towers, a concrete wall and what they say are bright stadium-style lights.

The compound is located 25 miles north of Charlotte on a quiet, two-lane street unaccustomed to having an international rap star and entourage in their midst.

DaBaby was arrested in 2018 in connection with a fatal shooting at a Walmart in North Carolina. DaBaby insisted he did not pull the trigger that killed a man during a fight but was convicted of misdemeanour carrying a concealed weapon.

The rapper was handed a suspended 30-day jail sentence and 12 months of unsupervised probation.

History: The stars were first linked in 2020 after DaBaby featured DaniLeigh in his music video for Levi High. They're seen at the 2019 BET Awards together above

In January 2020 he was arrested in Miami on battery charges and the month before he was handcuffed by Charlotte-Mecklenburg police for marijuana possession after his concert at Bojangles Coliseum. The charged were later dropped.

And in November last year DaBaby captured himself trying to kick his baby mama DaniLeigh, who he told he was recording her 'for his safety', out of his North Carolina home in an Instagram Live while she cursed at him and tried to grab the phone from his hand.

DaniLeigh, 26, after an investigation was cited for two misdemeanor assaults stemming from the incidents.
