Chrissy Teigen has revealed that she and John Legend are planning on having more kids following the heartbreaking loss of her pregnancy last fall.
The model and her music star husband are determined to add yet another child to their brood — which already includes daughter Luna, 4, and son Miles, 2 — either by IVF or adoption, Teigen said in an interview with People.
“I can’t imagine a life without [my children] – I just cannot…And I can’t imagine a life without more, honestly, so we’ll see!” said Teigen, who landed on the magazine’s The Beautiful issue on Wednesday.
Teigen and Legend were left devastated last September when their baby, who they had named Jack, was stillborn after a partial placental abruption. He was the only embryo the couple had left.
She said that she and Legend made a tribute to Jack at their home that will ensure they never forget about him.
“We have this new home that we’re building and this tree being planted inside the home, which is very relatable, yes, everyone has an indoor tree,” said Teigen said.
“The whole reason that I wanted it was so Jack’s ashes could be in that soil and he could be with us all the time and grow through the beautiful leaves on this tree and always be a part of us. He wasn’t just a moment in time. He was real and he was real to us and we loved him.”
Teigen — who last week quit Twitter citing her mental health welfare — said she defines beauty as being able to see how powerful your body is physically and mentally.
“This year has been a roller coaster for everybody in the world, including our little family,” she said.
“Seeing people rally around us has been really beautiful. There have been things in the past year that I never thought John would have to see, but it’s also been so wonderful that we have prevailed . . Whatever love we put out into the world 10 years ago, we’re getting it back tenfold.”
The couple met in 2007 on the set of the video to Legend’s song “Stereo.”
Teigen said she can’t wait for them to grow old together.
“I can’t wait to see salt-and-pepper John and me next to him with my silver hair,” she said.
